Prospero send his servant Ariel to create a magical storm that wrecks a ship carrying Alonso, King of Naples, his son Ferdinand, servant Gonzalo, brother Antonio and Prospero’s brother Sebastian. No one is hurt but the ship is wrecked and the crew are forced onto an island and separated.
Prospero later tells his daughter, Miranda that Sebastian overthrew him and took his dukedom. Prospero and Miranda escaped with Gonzalo’s help.
