y=
-1/4x
+5
slope is -1/4
y=ax+b
y=
-1/4x
+5

We can convert to slope-intercept form, and whatever number is the coefficient of x will be the slope.
We subtract by 1/4x on both sides and get y = -1/4x + 5. So, the slope is -1/4.

Hope this helps!
