I do this all the time.
If you thaw foods hotter/warmer than room temperature, it will spoil.
If you thaw it colder than room temperature it's not going to thaw at all, lol.
It's the same thing if you are thawing a frozen food in water. You need to use room temperature water or else it will either spoil, or not thaw at all. (If you thaw in water, make sure you don't leave it in too long or else it will spoil)
Remember to put foods into a refrigerator after you thaw it. This will prevent it from going bad/spoiling. Also, you can NEVER refreeze something that was thawed (Ice-cream, meat, frozen fruit, etc.)
