Franklin feels that unanimity among the delegates is important to the success of the United States because much of the government's strength and efficiency depends on the general opinions of all those involved. He also chose to suppress his opinions to help. He believed the Constitution was the best thing for the country and was careful to not stir up any conflict where it was concerned. He believed that if everyone thought the plan was a goo one, it would be a good one.
