Riley and sierra have 245 downloaded minutes of music. If Riley has 132 minutes and Sierra has X minutes write and solve an equation to represent how many minutes sierra has.

Please help I don’t understand what to do can someone please explain

since riley has 132 out of 245, you would subtract her number from the original number and get sierra's number of minutes which is x

To solve this you need to subtract 245 - 132 to get the value of X

245 - 132 = 113

X = 113 So Sierra has 113 minutes of music
