When figuring out the average you ADD up all the numbers you have, then DIVIDE by how many you add.
Ex: [tex]83+36=119[/tex], then [tex] \frac{119}{2}= 59.5 [/tex]
Therefore the average is 59.5, and if it's rounded to the nearest tenth it's 60.
