A drug that leaves an individual sleepy and passive won't likely lead to any violence. These are called hypnotic or sedative drugs. These drugs are mostly benzodiazepines. They serve to calm and relax an individual and help in cases of insomnia, anxiety or anaesthesia. These drugs' effect is also dose-dependent which means that the more it is taken, the strongest/longest the effect.
