Parallelism (the use of Parallel grammatical form) means that different parts of the same sentence will use the same grammatical structure. The other names for it are "Parallel structure" and "parallel construction". Parallelism, or Parallel construction directly affects how a text is perceived by the reader. Many times, it makes much more comprehensible and also grants that feeling of a well written text. Parallelism is even used as a rhetoric device. This literary device can also show that different parts of the text have equal value by showing the parts in the exact same (parallel) way, grammatically speaking at least.
