List two differences you would expect to see in the composition of lipids in the
e. coli membrane when the cells are incubated at 25 ∘c compared to incubation at 37 ∘c.

Respuesta :

At 37 degree centigrade, phosphorus quantity is decreased while there is accumulation of phosphorus at 27 degree centigrade in cell membrane of E.coli. There is a change in glycerol to phosphate molar ratios which indicates that phosphatidyl glycerol phosphate replaced phosphatidyl glycerol during the late growth stages of E.coli when grown at 27degree centigrade.
