Ottomans traveled and when they did, they gained sole access to the Black Sea and also had many ports which gave them a great advantage. The Ottoman Empire also wrapped around Europe and Asia which gave them a domestic trade region. Their agriculture-focused economy helped them to stay successful for a long period of time.
