In the past, royalty and celebrities, such as film stars, took on an influencing role in adverts to encourage consumers to part with their cash.
An influencer is defined as someone who uses their celebrity status to influence the behaviour of others, usually so that they buy certain products.
Nowadays, it’s a little more complicated, with people becoming famous for being influencers. But the aim of an influencer hasn’t changed all that much. They still make money by influencing our actions.
