We use citric acid which is found in lemon juice, the carbonic acid found in carbonated drinks, the sulfuric acid found in detergents and soap, the benzoic acid used for preservation of food.
The bases which we use are sodium hydroxide used in soaps and detergents, sodium bicarbonate used as the baking powder in many recipes, calcium hydroxide in limewater and cement. 

Examples of common acids include vinegar, lemon juice, and soda.

Examples of common bases include ammonia, bleach, and antacids.

Common uses of acids include flavoring and preserving foods, and they are found in cleaning products.

Common uses of bases include neutralizing acids, and they are found in cleaning products.
