Stop motion animation is the cinematic process of taking a puppet(s) and bringing it to life on screen by filming it one frame at a time. This process allows the puppets to appear to move on their own accord. Two examples of this cinematic process are Tim Burton’s The Corpse Bride and A Nightmare Before Christmas. Often miniature sets are built in which the puppets are then placed and filmed. In a sense, this type of film making is a dying art, especially in the age of computer generated imagery (CGI).

Respuesta :

Stop motion animation is a dying art. I would say this is the main theme of this explanation of stop motion. Even though it explains how it works, and is interesting in that sense, in the final analysis it will be superceded by computer animation.
