What the question should be saying is that to the nearest volume, how much fabric does she need for this project because there is no such thing as square units for cylinders. The volume for a cylinder is V+[tex] \pi r^{2} *h[/tex], so then you would start by multiplying 15.1in by itself, giving you 228.01. Then you multiply the 228.01 by the height which is 12.8, and you get 2198.528. Finally, you multiply the 2198.528 by [tex] \pi [/tex], and you end up with 9168.826124 (round it up to the nearest decimal you need it to be).
