I REALLY NEED HELP PLEASE
Model the following problem with a quadratic equation. Then solve. Find the length of a side of a square with an area of 12 ft^2. Model the problem with a quadratic equation. Let x be the length of a side of the square.

Respuesta :

The area of a square =  one side multiplied by an adjacent side. As all sides are equal   the equation is
   x^*x = 12
or x^2 = 12

Solving
x = sqrt 12
  = 2 sqrt3
  =  3.46  ft correct to the nearest hundredth
