Totalitarian governments usually restrict media to government owned and operated media and any freedoms of the people are taken away. Police are often used as a secret police that put down any dissidents and take away any law breakers. Speaking of law, it tends to be harsh and when broken, you will be punished severely.
In a totalitarian government people are controlled by the government with no freedom. Life is usually hard under this form of government. Actions associated with oppression and mistreatment.
