C₂H₅OH + 3O₂ → 2CO₂ + 3H₂O
The combustion equation can be balanced as follows;
Firstly i had counted all the carbons hydrogens and oxygens on the reactant sides as follows;
C= 2 H= 6 O= 3
and on the product side as follows;
C= 1 H= 2 O=3
Then I balanced the equation by multiplied the reactants and the products with suitable coefficients.
C₂H₅OH + 3O₂ → 2CO₂ + 3H₂O
Now the given equation is balanced because it has all the reactants and products in same amount as
C= 2 H= 6 O= 7
The same concentration of Carbon, hydrogen and oxygen is present on both reactants and products side.
