Hello!

We have the following polynomial:

[tex]1+10x-2x^3+x^5-x^2-9[/tex]

To put it in the standard form, we have to start with the highest exponent on the left and then write in decreasing order. Look:

[tex]\begin{gathered} x^5-2x^3-x^2+10x-9+1 \\ \end{gathered}[/tex]

We can simplify it by solving -9 +1, look:

[tex]x^5-2x^3-x^2+10x-8[/tex]
