Answer
The two major disadvantages of wind power as an energy resource instead of oil are;
(i) Initial Cost or Expensive Upfront Cost -Constructing turbines and wind facilities is extremely expensive.
(ii) Technology Immaturity - New technology is needed to lower costs, increase reliability and energy production, solve deployment issues, expand the resource area, develop infrastructure and manufacturing facilities, and mitigate known environmental impacts.
