Solve it for y as shown below

This equation represents a line on the plane, and such is defined by two points on the plane and a line that crosses them.
Obtaining two points:
[tex]\begin{gathered} x=0 \\ \Rightarrow y=3\cdot0-4=-4 \\ \Rightarrow(0,-4) \\ \text{and} \\ x=1 \\ \Rightarrow y=3\cdot1-4=-1 \\ \Rightarrow(1,-1) \end{gathered}[/tex]
