l=length

w=width

l=3+4w

the equation of the perimeter is

then we need to clear w

[tex]\begin{gathered} 6+8w+2w=296 \\ 10w=296-6 \\ 10w=290 \\ w=\frac{290}{10} \\ w=29 \end{gathered}[/tex]

for the length

[tex]l=3+4(29)=119[/tex]

l=119 ft

w=29ft
