What are the types of baroreceptors?
High-pressure artery baroreceptors and low-pressure volume receptors are the two different types of baroreceptors, and both are activated when the vessel wall is stretched. In the carotid sinuses and aortic arch are where you can find arterial baroreceptors. Atria, ventricles, and pulmonary vasculature are home to low-pressure volume receptors, also known as cardiopulmonary receptors.
