He read for 9 hours, since each hour have 60 minutes this means that he read a total of

minutes.

Now, since each minute have 60 seconds we have a total of:

seconds. We can write this as

[tex]3.24\times10^4[/tex]

Therefore the order of magnitude of the seconds is four.
