The answer above can also be represented as;

[tex]\begin{gathered} -\text{ 10 }\leq\text{ x and x }<\text{ 1} \\ -10\text{ }\leq\text{ x }<\text{ 1} \end{gathered}[/tex]

The circle on -10 is shaded because of the equality attached to the first inequality and the other is not shaded because it does not contain equality. Note that the unshadeded circle is between 0 and 2 meaning that it is on 1.
