     A dyad is a two-person structured conversation activity. About 40 minutes pass during the workout. These notes explain how to organize and take part in a dyad. The main goal is to increase the two people's ability to communicate and understand one another.

    The two participants in the dyad should be seated comfortably apart from one another, facing one other. During the dyad, they shouldn't touch, but they should be close enough to hear each other clearly. It makes no difference whether the people are seated on stools, chairs, or cushions. It would be improper for one person to sit on the floor and the other on a chair since their heads should be roughly at the same level.
