Here we have the inequality:
-13 ≤ 3 + 8p ≤ 11
The first thing we need to do, is isolate the variable p in the middle, to do that, we start by subtracting 3 on the 3 sides:
-13 - 3 ≤ 3 + 8p - 3 ≤ 11 - 3
-16 ≤ 8p ≤ 8
Now we divide all by 8 so we get:
-16/8 ≤ p ≤ 8/8
-2 ≤ p ≤ 1
Then the interval of solutions for the inequality is [-2, 1]
