What is Shame and doubt?

Shame and doubt can be defined as a developmental stages in which a children at this stage are independent as they prefer to do things on their own and when this children grow up they begin to have doubt about  things.

The shame and doubt stage occur because  a child rely on developing his/her own sense of control and this stage often occur when a child is eighteen months.

Therefore If this is a consistent experience in her life, Erikson would say that McKenzie is at risk of developing a sense of Shame and doubt.
