Their career choices are also very limited. Women from the middle and upper classes often stay at home, take care of the family and run the household. , allowing women the right to vote. Women are now in power even in rural areas.
In many countries, women are now heads of state. Education has made women independent and they are no longer dependent on men to lead their lives. Business laws have changed to allow more women to work and provide them with a comfortable environment to work in.
In the 1800s, women fought for the rights to vote and be considered equal partners to men. Encompassed in equality, women fought for the right to own property, keep wages and sign a contract.
