Huck's struggle between personal beliefs and social conformity is a theme throughout the book. In chapters 2 and 3, which characters try to change Huck, and how do they try to change him? Your response should be at least two hundred words.

Respuesta :

The action of Huck communicates the importance of freedom and equality. This is the key theme of the story. The attempt of Huck to run away with the slave serves to highlight the importance of the theme.

Tom is a dreamer, and Huck is always a practical or pragmatic person. Unlike Tom, Huck's life is uncomplicated. He has no ambition, no desire to be civilized. Tom and Huck are two very different people, which is probably what makes them such good friends. Tom aspires to be Huck and Huck aspires to be Tom. They both love adventures but besides that Huck learns about respect and how to treat others while Tom doesn't care about anyone but himself.
