Original Price = $30

Percent Increase = $3 / $30  * 100%  ====  10%
Calculating Percentage Increase

First work out the difference between the two numbers you are comparing. Your answer will be the increase.
Increase = New Number - Original Number
Then divide the increase by the original number and multiply the answer by 100.
Percentage of increase = Increase ÷ Original Number × 100.
