Take any value for x and solve for y

for ex x = 0

y = 0 - 3 = -3

(0, -3) a point

for ex x =1

y = 1.5- 3= -1.5

(1,-1.5)

and keep making point and at the end graph and join them or cheat

graph it using slope intercept and just take 3 points from the graph :P
Draw a table of values with one column for the x values (on the left) and one column for the y values (on the right). You can also use the table and graph I have included as an attachment for you.

Write some x values down in the x column of your table. I would try -2, -1, 0, 1, and 2.

Take each one of those x values and plug it into your equation. Solve the equation for y. Make sure you use order of operations! Multiply your x value by 1.5, and then subtract 3 from the product.

Write each corresponding y value across from its x value. Each pair of x and y values will represent a point on your graph.

Plot each (x,y) pair on a graph. This graph represents your original function, because the points you solved for fit the function.
