Mrs. bader has a rug with an area of 24 sq.ft ft.the width of the rug is 2/3 of the length of the rug . what is the width of the rug?

The length of the rug is 16 because 1/3 of 24 is 8,and 8 * 2 (from 2/3) is 16.
The length of the rug is 16, the width is 8. Because 2/3 of the rug is length, that means 1/3 is width. Divide 24 by 3 to get 8, and because the length of the rug is 2/3 of the entire rug, multiply 1/3 of the rug (8) by 2 and get 16
