If a kid were to get injured or hurt and none of their friends or anyone is around them, no one will be able to help the child and could get seriously injured if no one helps and is not rushed to a hospital immediately. If a child were to be kidnapped, then no one would know and no one would come to help them. Also, if you don't tell your parents what time you are home by, they won't know if you are actually in trouble or if you are just hanging out a little later with your friends. Kids should always have a way of contact with their parents, like a phone or a watch that can call/message the police, your parents, etc.
