The aim of these experiments is to explain translation in the prokaryotes and eukaryotes. Translation is the production of protein from mRNA through translating a sequence of mRNA molecule to sequence of amino acids.
In eukaryotes, translation occurs in the cytoplasm therefore mRNA in the nucleus is transported to the cytoplasm, while in prokaryotes the cytoplasm acts as the nucleus hence no need for the transportation of mRNA via Nuclear pores to the nucleus.
