    The Treaty of New York  was a treaty signed in the year 1790 between leaders of the Creek people and Henry Knox who was the US Secretary of War  in the administration of US President George Washington.

   Although the creek people lost a large portion of their hunting grounds, including land stretching to the Oconee River, they gained  agricultural supplies and tools.
