According to statistics when people that are in their late adulthood continue to work volunteer and stay engaged, these are just some of the ways that they productive and generative.

Erikson's psychosocial stage of generativity and stagnation is what describes the stages that people move through in their late adulthood. After this stage, they may go to the stage of integrity v. despair.

This tells us that some people in their older age would remain active and energetic in order not to feel old.
