There are two numbers the second number is 1 larger than twice the first number. The sum of the reciprocals of the number is 7/10. Find the two numbers.​

  • second no=2x+1

[tex]\\ \sf\longmapsto \dfrac{3x+1}{2x^2+x}=\dfrac{7}{10}[/tex]

[tex]\\ \sf\longmapsto 30x+10=14x^2+7x[/tex]

[tex]\\ \sf\longmapsto 14x^2-23x-10=0[/tex]

On solving we get

[tex]\\ \sf\longmapsto x=-5/14\:or\:2[/tex]
