According to the above, insensitivity is a barrier to managing diversity in a workplace because some workers do not feel empathy for their colleagues from different cultural origin and do not feel shame for violating their cultures.

In this case, Camila's colleagues were being insensitive towards her because they did not respect that she had a negative view of this practice. In addition, the bosses instead of making corrections with Camila's colleagues decided to modify her schedule.
