No, because in Greek mythology, she was just a girl that Zues took a liking to, and Athena got jealous, so that’s why she turned her hideous. So I don’t think that she deserved it. But I’m not 100% sure that’s how it goes
I don’t believe medusa deserved to be turned into a hideous creature. I think this because there are several stories about how medusa came to be a monster but the one I heard was about how zeus took advantage over her. Thus causing athena to become angry at zeus and cast a spell making medusa turn any man that looks at her into stone. I believe that she did not deserve this however In other interpretations she was just a woman who was cursed by athena because athena got jealous that zeus took a liking to her. In my opinion, she didn’t deserve it in either interpretation but one helped keep herself safe
