Use of the team approach allowed for improved communication and understanding of the patient's situation, which meant that the geriatrics team was able to make the best decisions for the patient. Success meant that the patient had a fast recovery, shortened hospital stay, and improved state of life. Additionally, positive results meant that the team would be motivated to provide their highest quality care to their next patients. The team approach is an effective method that allows for reduced costs and lower employee turnover rates.
