Explanation:

A, doesn't make sense to me, because maybe gravity does effect the river in some way, but it didn't really explain why or how.

C, also doesn't make sense, because I fail to see what characteristics would change, other than the color maybe. And even if the color does change, I'm guessing it would have to be a significant change in oxygen.

D, is not it either, because climate refers to weather not rivers.
