Well, I think that the mass of the substance before & after a physical change will remain the same because according to the law of conservation of mass, mass can neither be created nor destroyed in a chemical/physical reaction So, the mass of the substance will remain as [tex]\boxed{\underline{\bf \: C. \: 8 \: g}}[/tex] even after the physical change.
