The paper on a roll is 5.5 metres long. Ahmed cuts as many pieces as possible, each of length 75 cm from the roll.
Calculate the number of pieces.

Total length of paper = 5.5 meters

  • 5.5 × 100 cm ( conversion into cm )

  • 550 cm

length of each peice = 75 cm

Total number of pieces cut :

  • 550 ÷ 75

  • 7.33

therefore, total number of pieces is 7 and some of the paper was left.
