what was scout referring to when she said that at the end of chapter 13 "i know what he was trying to do, but atticus was only a man it takes a woman to do that kind of work"
She was referring to her and Jem's upbringing and how Scout did not have a motherlike figure to look up to in certain aspects of her life. I hope I helped! :To Kill A Mockingbird is a great book :-)
