For a 3rd grade field trip to the museum, two classes of 24 merged together. They were broken off into groups of 6. How many kids were in each group?
48 divided by 6 is 8 because
6x8=48
and 8x6=48 and that's commutative property
think of as you have 6 friends and 48 cookies
each of them would get 8 cookies
