  2. in number two I think the reason is that the smell of hot sizzling food reaches you several metres away but to get the smell of cold food you have to go close because there is change in temperature when you have high temperatures the smell which is which is at a high rate because the diffusion between the smell of the food and the air is greater than when the temperatures are low so the diffusion is low
  3. in question three I'm not sure of the answer but I'm thinking of matter occupies space
  4. in question for when you're talking about the characteristics of particles of matter we know that matter is in three states that is solids liquids and gases in solids the particles are closely packed so when you heat them they vibrate vigorously in liquids the particles are loosely attached when you heat them it absorbs kinetic energy and makes the particles move farther apart from each other in gases the particles exist independently
