I believe we send troops to other countries base on our own interest and what we stand to gain . I know a leading numbering countries that need the United state troops right now but due to them lacking anything to offer they are ignored

Valid reasons that the United States would send troops to other countries would be to make a trade, or just to simply send a message. Troops are sent for our own interest but also for safety if there is a threat made. We can send troops for humanitarian aid but, there would need to be a reason therefore, yes.
