Roosevelt was criticized for his economic policies, especially the shift in tone from individualism to collectivism with the dramatic expansion of the welfare state and regulation of the economy. ... These critics often accuse his policies of prolonging what they believe would otherwise have been a much shorter recession.

Robert A. Taft, powerful Republican Senator from Ohio from 1939 to 1953. Taft was the leader of the Republican Party's conservative wing; he consistently denounced the New Deal as "socialism" and argued that it harmed America's business interests and gave ever-greater control to the central government in Washington.

So I would not agree because America is Capitalist not Socialist.

I would like to keep Capitalism since it has been really successful and the economy is great, also there is no country that was ever successful using Socialism because socialism and communism only work while the government has money; If the government-run out of money then no one will have money and it will fail as Venezuela did so I'd rather have our Capitalism.
