Five friends are eating ice cream. They wondered why their metal spoons were so cold. This is what they said:

Dane: I think the cold from the ice cream was transferred to the spoon.

Alex: I think a metal spoon is a good conductor of cold.

Mayra: I think heat from my hand moves through the spoon to the ice cream.

Elise: I think it is because there is more cold than heat.

Astrid: I think it is because things made of metal are cold.

Who do you think has the best idea? Explain your thinking using your knowledge of heat transfer as well as your
