The Mayflower Compact, House of Burgesses, and Fundamental Orders of Connecticut were important in the development of American democracy because they were examples of a democratic government that were used later on.

The Mayflower Compact was a very early example of democracy in New England. This started the idea that the people should pick or vote who the authorities are. Puritans also supported a representative government, which would later spread to other parts of New England as well.

Along with this, the House of Burgesses also set the stage for a democratic government, but in Virginia. The Virginia Company had to allow the Jamestown colonists to create the House of Burgesses, as many of the colonists wanted it. This was a way for them to maintain order within the colony.

Im only doing this so the other person can get brainliest…good luck.
